On 9 October 2024, Fire and Rescue NSW聽published the following new position statements on their聽website.
The 鈥渆mphasises that the NCC identifies the provision of a single fire hydrant system only, reminding building proponents to consider such in any hydrant system design鈥.
The notes 鈥渟elf-storage facilities have potential to involve special hazards under E1D17 and E2D21 of the National Construction Code 2022鈥, and advises that certifiers 鈥渟hould identify what additional provisions are being provided, if any, and whether they are commensurate to the hazards and risks when certifying any related building application鈥.
