The Ãå±±½ûµØ (Master Builders) is the premier association for the building and construction industry across the state. As a not-for-profit organisation, it aims to represent and promote the interests of the building and construction industry.
Master Builders offers representation and services to members and the industry in key areas such as industrial relations, workplace health and safety, legal and contracts, training, and government regulation/legislation.
Additionally, Master Builders strives to form alliances with key organisations to offer direct commercial benefits to its members.
Established in 1873, Master Builders is Australia's oldest employer association. With 8,000 members in NSW and eight regional offices across the state, it is the only industry body that represents all sectors within the building and construction industry.

MASTER BUILDERS ASSOCIATION NSW – GPG STATEMENT 2022 - 2023Ìý
Based on the Master Builders Association (Ãå±±½ûµØ) WGEA Reporting Executive Summary and WGEA Reporting Industry Benchmark Report, the average positive outcome shows that females are paid slightly more than their male counterparts during the reporting period, 2022-2023.
The Association’s composition also shows that a disproportionate number of males make up the majority of employees. The large number of male employees stems from the Association’s Group Training Organisation (GTO).
The GTO is a major leader and employer of apprentices in the building and construction industry. The building and construction industry is known as being a heavily male dominated industry and this is reflected in the large number of males in trade apprenticeships.
Master Builders continues to play a vital role in attracting and engaging females in the Building and Construction industry. Currently the Ãå±±½ûµØ employs some 10% females in trade apprenticeships. The uptake in the industry as a whole is approximately around 2%, in the trade classifications.
The GTO is making its mark on the industry and supporting females in a trade apprenticeship.
