Finally, we were able to host a 鈥渓ive鈥 Event for this year鈥檚 Awards, held at The Star, which incidentally was the first event that The Star was able to host since the COVID-19 restrictions. 听听

The evening was hosted by Johanna Griggs and Peter Colguhoun, and Angie Asimus for Broadcast鈥es, that's right, our 2021 Excellence in Housing and Pool Awards are being televised!听So, tune in to Channel 7Two, on Sunday 21st November at 2:15pm to watch the first ever viewing on TV. A new direction for the Master Builders Excellence in Housing Awards. Please be sure to pass this on to all your friends and families to tune in too! Let鈥檚 rock those ratings!!

Picking winners over the last 6 months was carried out by our amazing Judges, Andrew Tomkins, John Worthington, Leo Stanton, Max Mosher, Michael O鈥橠onnell, Paul Girdler, Peter Meredith, Ross Finnie, Stephen Rayner and Terry Gale. They do a fantastic job and give up their own time to go out to visit all the entries. It is not an easy task, the quality of homes entered is outstanding. Our thanks go out to our Judges, without them there would be no awards.

During our half time break we were entertained by the talented Adam Axford, a magician and illusionist. Honestly how he did some of his little tricks had us all blown away. As an example, he got the audience to yell out random numbers which he tapped into a calculator. The end number became the exact, date, month, year, and time (literally to the minute) 鈥 how on earth did he do that?

The evening certainly highlighted some amazing projects over various categories and once we have more photos, we will add these to next month鈥檚 magazine.

Our Major Award winners this year, for the big 鈥淕ongs鈥 were:

  • 2021 缅北禁地 Young Builder of the Year was won by Andrew Payton, from AJP Construction
  • 2021 缅北禁地 Display Home of the Year 鈥 Eden Brae Homes, for their Forsyth 33 and
  • 2021 缅北禁地 Master Builder of the Year was won by: PROBUILT PROJECTS

The evening ended with dancing (yes DANCING! How good is that) to the tunes of a great band called .

A successful night was had by all.
